Pat has over thirty years of accounting and financial management experience that includes being an Audit Manager with Ernst & Young, a Controller with Texas Instruments, and a CFO/Vice President of Finance of several mid-sized manufacturing and distribution companies.
Pat currently provides financial and operational advisory services to assist businesses achieve improved financial results through the assessment of existing operating processes and the development and subsequent reporting of key business metrics.
Pat's experience includes: financial turnarounds (including the successful turnaround and sale of a Chapter 11 company), strategic planning, strategic acquisition analysis, the sale of a business division, negotiating banking agreements including lines of credit, mortgages, equipment loans and leases, evaluation and purchase of commercial/corporate insurance, cost accounting reporting and analysis, financial and managerial reporting, internal control evaluation and enhancement, detailed cash flow analysis combined with recommendations for improvement, exposure to privately held companies, and financial modeling and forecasting.
Pat also has experience in the Administrative functions of companies including Human Resources (“HR”) and Information Systems (“IS”). Her HR experience includes union contract negotiations, mediation of issues, development of employee handbooks, writing and evaluating job descriptions, writing non-compete agreements, creating incentive-based compensation programs, administration of 401K plans (including audit preparation), and the termination of a defined benefit pension plan. Her IS experience includes the evaluation, recommendation and installation of industry specific software for a long-term contractor and a food manufacturer/distributor.
Pat is a CPA, has her MAS in Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University, and her BS in Business/Accounting from Towson University. She is an accounting adjunct professor at Loyola University and at Carroll Community College. She is a member of the AICPA and MACPA.
